Exclamation 2 SS 451 miles in 8 days I can't stop I hear the call

I think I have a problem
My 2 SS has 451 miles in 8 days I can't stop every time I turn her off
I hear the call "I am waiting" "please come back" "don't leave me"
So far so great!!
I have to deal with the recall next week But they are giving me a loaner and $100.00 in free maintenance since our 2009 Malibu has a safety recall too
One small issue The paint seems very soft
if I look at it too hard it scratches so far minor touch up on both door edges
which I do not understand since they only open to cardboard boxes in my garage otherwise I do not park next to anything
I parked to close to my garage door and had to rub up against the car to get around it and now right by the bumper are 2 scratches and to small marks like dents on the nose from bugs hitting it on the highway
all in 8 days
The bumper will needs to be buffed and the doors touched up nothing is major and no one will see it but me
I have some concerns that there maybe a paint issue or maybe it just me
I bought some black wax and am putting lots of coats on I hope that helps
Richard

I plan on changing my break-in oil (500 miles) by day 3!

Call me crazy, but I like that in a car."

If you have black you better get used to seeing scratches. When I was getting ready to buy mine there was a black one in the showroom - the tires looked like the car had never been driven outside - and yet it was a mass of fingerprints, smudges, and fine scratches - just from customers "looking" at it in the showroom! Black shows every minor imperfection, as you now know...

But congrats on the car, and I'm sure you're loving it! Good luck with it.

Congrats on all the fun and getting your ride so early..................But

ANd as far as the Bumper denting, it is probably rocks....NOT BUGS!
As far as the scratches, This is why I hate black........period.

If your paint is chipping easily it is more of a problem with the paint prep, not "soft" or uncurred paint.......usually.

How can you not be in love with driving it? I've got a 3,025 miles, 9 states in 7 days trip planned the first week of June... just me, my 12 years old son, and the SS/RS on the open road. Corn fields, the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, the farms of Kansas, a whirlwind tour. Now, we just need her to get here so we don't have to reschedule all the hotels! hahaha.

Congrats on having your new vehicle!
