There is a basic lesson in there - which is that our time here is fleeting and we collectively need to make the best of the time we have.

Its great that you remember and honor your father in this way and I'm sure he would be the first to tell you not to be sad for him but to enjoy your "rock star" moment

I have been driving my old Z now for 9 years and it still makes me happy when I fire up the V8 so I may need facial surgery for the permagrin when I eventually get my SS :-)
...my face is starting to hurtfrom smiling so hard...you are right, life is short, i learned that firsthand as i watched my Dad dying for 6 months last year and that was part of the reason i decided to "go for it" and get the car of my dreams now and i feel like a teenager again......the wait is soooo worth it!!!!!!!!!!...

make sure to let me know when your "baby" is delivered and post photos!!!

I'm sorry about your dad, but that was a pretty uplifting little story. Probably the best one to come out of a cemetary yet

...i didn't expect to get so many kind responses from all of my Camaro5 "family members"......i thought that the cemetery story would probably be the only one of it's kind on the Cam5 forum and i hoped it would actually be a positive, uplifting story on a very difficult day for GM and all their employees...may God bless all of you the way He has blessed me...and i hope everyone still waiting for their Camaros realizes as i did, that the wait is worth it!!!...

Awesome way to visit.

I have only told one other person on this forum. But the last convo I had with my father on the phone was that we where gonna buy an old Camaro and fix it up, he was managing a Bumper to Bumper store at the time. It was the day I got my learners permit at 16. He passed soon after from stroke.
