It all went very well i think everyone really liked the new way we ran grid. We were really short handed by the second and third run groups tho as alot i mean a lot of people left . We had some guys stay on corners for 2 run groups, and people pulling double and triple duty. In the third run group the starter was doing grid and safety all at same time. Made for quick run groups tho. All in all very nice day.
You forgot the part about Kaysi pretty much burning a brand new cone down to the filter. She got one caught in the wheel well and the tire just ate it up. Don't think any of us have done that quite that way before. Christine did bring one all the way back to parking though, so there is healthy competition for queen of the "Cone Rash Car Club". Had a great time today and can't wait to do it again.

Nice commentary. Wish I could have been there. Maybe next month. The schedule looks I will be. Glad to here Kaysi drove. Did she have fun? Christine neglected to tell me she was a cone killer. She was pretty wore out when we spoke.
Clark, we all try to just have fun. As long as you are is all that matters. Just relax and it will come. When I try too hard I drive worse. It really is not about who has the fastest time, unless you're the driver of a silver corvette. The rest of the guys and gals just enjoy each others company.

Hey yall I am not going to be at auto cross today. I have been debating whether or not I really enjoy auto cross enough to waste an entire weekend doing it or not. I wanted to wait to run the red course again to decide. I have decided I don't like it enough to keep doing it. I am going to try to start going to the drag races in San Antonio and try to make the HPDE in the valley, I also may try to do the mile.

Well I'm sorry to hear that. I too want to try drag racing,HPDE and road courses if I can find the free time. There is also a drag strip in Edinburgh. I think they run Thursday night tho. Not 100% on that. The guys at Unlimited would know. Just another option. Let us know how either track is.

Don't worry Jerry, I was not that happy with my times yesterday. As you learn the course you will get faster. Tis course especially requires a little more white knuckle driving than the others. The speed and those swerve gates made me really nervous the first 3 runs. We will get faster.

Plus, I plan to steal Ray's wheels the night before the race.

Well, first run out I run a 56 +1, then it was down hill from there. Too much shifting for my V6. Couldn't seem to get into the right gear. Had fun though. After turn 1, it was floor it til the slalom. That was fun. I think Jason was clocked at 81 mph before the slalom. Top speed was the ZL1 at 85. Not much quicker than Jason.
I'll have to figure out what I'm going to do about shifting before next autoX.

Hang in there. Seat time is the best thing. It was good to see you excited about your last run.
Now we have a month to figure it out. I'll be looking at my in car video to figure it out.
