Trying to identify a 1967 Camaro SS L48 350/295 Engine - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have a 1963 vette that I bought 34 years ago, non original engine. I am switching engines and I am trying to see if the one I have now is a 1967 Camaro SS 350/295 L48 engine. Also about how much is it worth if I sell it? Thanks a bunch!!

Here is the data and pictures.

Casting # on engine 3892657

Casting Date (check picture) either L 8 8 or L 8 6 (I think its a six)

Partial VIN 7N198173
Engine # V03I4MS

The casting numbers on the heads are as follows:
Casting date - B 20 7
Casting # - 3890462
Other Info - GM 27

Not sure what other numbers you would need to see or where they are.

Pics of the vette, the ms would possibly make it the l48....

casting on engine shows in my book it could be any (302,327,350)with small journals.1967 only.Chevrolet small block casting numbers.Not sure on the heads.

1967 Camaro 350 cube, 295 HP, manual tranny, non-california emissions, assembled March 14th, 1967.

Heads are double hump, 64cc, cast on February 20th, '67

From a '67 Camaro SS 350 - Good find!

Block casting date is odd at first glance so that makes me pause....
