Chevy Camaro in the Snow

I've been driving my 2LT since 2009 in the snow. I have a set of Pirelli scorpion ice and snow tires on OEM 20" wheels.

I was even able to get it moving during the groundhog day blizzard. To do that though I had to turn off traction control to get it moving and once I had the momentum in the deep snow, I turned it back on. It is counter intuitive.

Only issues I have with the salt is you need to remove the defenderworx backup light bezels if you have them as they pit up badly, and the highwing spoiler washers under the trunk tend to rust.

I have since painted the spoiler washers with some rustoleum to see if that fixes that and I just take off the bezels for the winter.

The exhaust needs a good polish in the spring, but the car is like a tank in the snow. I get a chuckle as I can pass people with all seasons easily while they spin at the lights.

Agreed. With the right tires, it rides just fine in the snow.

Think of it even if you're on dry pavement in the middle of the summer -- it's really easy to spin your tires in 1st gear. In 2nd gear, it's still possible but you'd really have to rev your RPMs high. 3rd gear a lot harder. That's independent of engine, in general good driving technique in winter is to take off in 2nd gear if you're on snow.

I got a set of Kumo all seasons.... And I was fine all winter long.
