2013 v6 1lt or 2009 mustang gt. which would win?
I mean the mustang is a gt but its got less horsepower. So if both were stock who would win?

The Mustang. More torque, less weight, shorter gearing, and the solid axle will help the straight line.

Been brought up more times then can remember...torque wins races...and since the v6 is lacking in that department the win goes to the GT most of the time.

Lol been covered. A manual V6 with a driver vs a bone stock GT is not far from being a drivers race, anything else gives the GT a nice advantage. A V6 will hang right with a GT past 80 though, 6 speeds vs 5.

Agree...on the highway the GT has less of an advantage and its closer, but from a dig the GT should get it every time if the car is driven properly.

Better comparison would be a 99-04 GT vs a new V6 Camaro, with a slight advantage going to the new sixxer.

I thought those SOHC 4.6 GTs were good for about a 14.1? I seem to recall running very even with my 94 z28. The new six is a mid 14 car, no?

EDIT: Now that I think about it, they were both auto, and I'm pretty sure those old 4 speeds sucked a lot so that could be part of it.

A 99-04 GT hard top with a 5 speed will beat a 2010 and up V6 Camaro. A 3V Mustang GT will also beat a 2010 and up V6 Camaro. The 99-04 GT will be a good race, but the Camaro will lose given equal drivers and bone stock cars. The 05-10 GT will win convincingly. The V6 Camaro is too heavy and it has insufficient torque.

The auto is a mid 14 car but a 6MT is DEFINITELY a low 14 car. I pulled a 14.1 bone stock in my old LLT and consistently ran low 14s with an intake. A pro driver could pull a 13.9-14.0 out of a stock 6MT with seat time or just an intake.
