Which will be more expensive? Hellcat or ZL1?
Which one do you think will be more expensive, give the 2016 hellcat comes loaded with leather and Nav system.
I'm NOT asking which one will be better or more powerful or handle better. Just on Price. |

I think it will be really close in price but looking at the price increase from the 5th gen to the 6gen I'm betting the Next ZL1 or Z28 whatever they call it will be priced higher than the hellcat.

Although Hellcat got a price increase for 2016, but it's all included. I was actually thinking of a manual Challenger v.s. Manual ZL1 price comparison. Those are the two I'm cross shopping...

I seriously doubt a $70K plus ZL1 will sell any better than the 5th Gen Z/28.
I might be wrong but I'm betting that if you see that kind of pricing, the ZL1 sales will be embarrassing.

I didn't realize the challenger hellcat pricing for 2016 is now a little over $65k. Knowing this I think the ZL1 or Z28 will be right under this at $63k

In a vacuum, the Gen 6 ZL1 at 70k makes sense, considering it will have the LT4 and oodles more performance than an SS, but we don't live in a vacuum.... and you don't want to cannibalize 2SS sales by making the delta too small. Also.... the Z28 was a sales disaster, and with the Z06 being 80k or so... Chevy can't get too close to that, either. I'm guessing 67-69k. Completely wild ass b.s. guess. |

If they can hit the base at $60K, it will be awesome.

My guess is 65k, at least 10k over the 5th Gen ZL1 MSRP.

If the ZL1 wants to have a huge draw and sell more then the Hellcat its going to need 750hp+. A 650hp ZL1 will only attract current Chevy fans not out side buyers like the Hellcat IMO.

I saw a hellcat loosing to previous gen mustang (a NA engine), because hellcat couldn't get traction, and mustang was gone by the time hellcat stopped spinning. |

No way this car is going to start at 65k. Not even a chance. The SS is a gen 5 zl1 for 47k. 59,995 is the highest it will be for a base Z.

Yea the Hellcat, GT500, and ZL1 all spin a lot. My Friend has a GT500 and when we race the person who gets the better launch wins. These cars take awhile to get down, launching perfect is hard.. My tires won't even hook when its cold unless I do a burnout and really warm the tires up.
