Sad part is I had a dealer work up a trade-in number for me and for mine they were willing to give me $14,000. Almost no value left in these
I think I'm backing my oil change interval down to 3,000 - 3,500 MAX.
Was doing 4k.

My engine is a free wheeling LLT that gets 34 MPG HWY. No problems whatsoever. Its cheap insurance to change the oil.

If your not planning on replacing the motor STOP DRIVING AROUND WITH THE KNOCK! Are you nuts? You're just making more work for the repair. Depending on where the knock is coming from, driving it around could cause significant damage, especially once metal starts flying through the motor.

I say 3000miles max. I just had mine changed after getting her out of storage and oil prices have gone way down, $64.95 out the door. I also have my oil changes done at the dealer because the new motor is under warranty. If they mess up then they have the records, no argument needed.

LOL no keeping the car

In fact the motor gave up on me while i was driving and ahut off around 2pm
Just got it towed to my House

Car will now be stored and I will buy an M3
And i will go take a giant s*** at GMs plant here

Truly though
Babied car whith 80,000km or 50k miles should not have had the chains done or have blown whivh mine just did

Way to go Chevy
Thanks for sticking it to the people who still bought your lroduct while you were being bailed out
People who still had faith and well now I will never buy another chevy again

My car has not a dent
No rust
Amazing condition
But now is useless because of a Flawwed motor which is known for its chain issue and spinning rod bearings ...ridiculous

Good luck with the BMW. I had an X3 for 15 months. I couldn't keep it on the road long enough to enjoy. It stranded me on two different vacations in the same summer. Check engine lights every other week it seemed. I couldn't stand it any longer. Traded it in on a Chevy Avalanche. Guess what? No more repairs, no more check engine lights. No more worries. Just my experience. Your results may vary. Again good luck.

My friend just bought a BMW M3. He was happy until he realized his first scheduled maintenance stop was gonna cost $3500

I don't believe that. 3500 for what? Not even Porsche is that expensive with their scheduled maintenance

if / when my motor goes (heaven forbid), I am going to swap a 2JZGTE with an R154 tranny into the car. probably cost the same and easily upgradeable and plenty of power for the car. I will never buy or run another GM car.

VW cost more to maintain, but they last forever. Vw really stands behind their product. I just can't seem to let silver fox go.
Sorry- didn't get past this post- I was a parts and service director for vw/audi for several years and I thought this was hilarious.
You had me at "last forever" and "really stand behind their product." I had to fight a LOT of battles with those cars, far more than GM... far more.

Pick a car you like- life is too short to drive anything other than what you want, but the green grass on the other side is fertilized with sh*t just like the side you're on.
