SRP Racing Aluminum Pedals for my 1LE

I posted this over in the how-to section but thought I would make a link to it here in the 1LE area for the people that track their cars.

they are very nice.[much nicer compared to gm offers on the zl1..]
i've looked them out ...but read,on the site, that if zinc treated it can be worn out!? anyway i would order them natural finish. when driving not looking at my feet anyway. still they're nice jewelry...

I just installed these. Thanks for the write up. I still managed to break 3 drill bits but I got them on. They look great but to those who live in sunny places, the reflection off the clutch and dead pedal is pretty bright on the brushed pedals. May want to consider that when you purchase them. Other than that they work awesome, much better pedal feel and easier brake-gas-brake and heel-toe than with stock pedals. I think these are another "must have" for track day folks!

LOL, I was going to post the same thing. I installed mine last weekend and I broke 3 1/26" bits as well. These things are great, no more pedal slip and so much easier to heel-toe.

Yes Lee, great write up. Here's mine, even though i cant seem to master this heel toe thing.I can do it fine driving on the streets, but find at speed i just cant seem to get it down. Now obviously with the time i put down at Fontana it doesn't make you faster, but it sure sounds cool.

Great stuff guys! I must have been lucky not to break any drill bits. The rev match down shift does sound cool but doesn't make you any faster.

One trick I learned was to anchor the pedal when drilling with a pair of vise grips to hold the pedals solidly in place. Less drill bit required.

I broke a drill bit, and it was an hour trying to drill it out.

Mark, your pedals look great, the bolt pattern is closer together on the machined versions which makes drilling even more challenging. And yours must not glow as much in the CA sun either. Hmm, maybe I'll paint mine, I have not decided on how to cure that yet...

Looks great. Going to have to do this mod. I really, really hate the pedal in the car. Most of the time I don't even attempt the heal toe because I have 0 confidence I can execute it. Biggest oversight in my opinion!

How are you guys downshifting while braking on hte track, the only way i know is to heel toe shift. Are you shifting in the turn and feathering the clutch to keep balanced..
