About what I expected it to be. One thing I noticed is that the Z28 was not on fresh tires.... but anyways looking forward to see GM punch back with their 6th gen road course monster.

I don't expect a direct counter to the 350R. I'm expecting a combo supercharged ZL1/Z28 in the same manner the new Zo6. Now takes the old Zo6/ZR1 market spaces.

I think the gt350r is a great car and should be better than z28. Since its a newer design. But this video shows that its not by much. Something is wrong with this review....example...in this video motor trend says the z28s 100-0 is 100ft. Ealier this year when motor trend compared the 1le vs the new 5.0, the 1le did 100-0 in 99ft. Conditions differ i know. But come on. Anyways that gt350r is something special and that 8k+ rev wow. Cant wait to see whats next.

Just because the Z has carbon brakes doesn't mean it's going to stop quicker. Where the carbon brakes really shine is on the track as they are much less prone to fade than steelies.

The fact that the Z was clearly on well worn down tires could have played a factor. Regardless of the carbon ceramic it's still a lighter car with bigger brakes it should stop better. On the flip side I don't think that people give the 4 piston Brembos enough credit.

Z28 is actually heavier than the 350R.

I know, I was saying the Z28 is a littler lighter than a 1LE in reference to the other guys post.

The whole review was fun to watch and i agree there was something wrong with it. I did notice the much more worn z tires aswell right off. He did state right out of the gate that the gt350r's goal was to match and beat the z/28 and this review although argueable they did beat it but with a whole new generation and all this new technology between the two they shouldn't be laughing all the way to the bank. Maybe the bar they did beat it but not by enough to make anyone say Wow that's better by far. I'll give it to Ford they did a great job but GM still has you and the LS7 still sounded much better but that's just my opinion.

These cars are getting to the point where they are not going to outperform each other by leaps and bounds. The Margin of victory the GT350 pulled off over a car as good as the Z28 on a road course is nothing short of amazing. The Z28 is the same car magazines had no issue testing against cars like the GTR Nismo a year ago it is that good.

Honestly it's not significant feat that the R beat the Z. That's the purpose of why it even exists. Now, it's GM's turn to nut up. It's just how it goes.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. That's board line fanboyism. The sound of the GT350R is nothing short of amazing. While I agree that the Z/28 did seem to have worn tires and the times they've listed for this particular joust was different than what they've posted previously, it still showcases the cars and their abilities well. Now, it remains to be seen how GM will respond to the GT350R. Especially considering the price point Ford is asking for that car. The regular GT350 is about is much as an optioned 1SS/2SS.
