GM skirts VS this brand? help

I made another thread earlier but no responses. I really don't want to buy the entire GM kit (although I feel that the quality may be better if I do). I do want the style of the GM side skirts. That said. I found these which "look" like they might be close/identical what are your thoughts on them? should I spring for the GM kit and just part out the rear valence and front splitter and keep the sides?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/16-17-Chevro...hYfxh5&vxp=mtr

Thanks in advance.

you could go for the extreme dimension sides and just pay to paint and mount then you have the gm kit full kit but your paying around 2000 for the parts and may not get back what you put in selling the diffuser and splitter just getting the side skirts could save you some money just have to weigh your options im going with the full kit because thats what I want you can if you want to try your luck and get the full kit I know a site thats selling it lower than full price pm me.

Longest. Sentence. Ever.

GM-X stuff is intended to be a GM ground effects knock-off kit but, for less. Please keep in mind that fitment will be questionable at best and of course, you will have to get it painted, as well. Personally, I'd rather pay the $2200 total to have it installed and be done with it than play around with a knock-off brand.

I e-mailed my Dealer last night regarding just purchasing the side skirts. Here is the response I just received a few minutes ago:

Good day Mike

You can purchase them both ways:
The entire kit and individually, in case the vehicle you install them on gets into an accident.
The skirts are 618.00 plus paint and install

Hope this helps

Regards, Mark

I just flipped him back an e-mail to inquire how much the paint would be for the side skirts. . Will keep you posted......

can you guarantee that the fitment and the style, and mounting is exactly the same? I also, am afraid of drilling holes in my 45K+ car and want it to be right the first time. I searched your site and pictures aren't really clear as a close up...

the fitment and style is the same as the oem gm one but ours are Duraflex which is fiberglass not poly or plastic like the oem gm ones

as for mounting i am not sure how the oem gm ones mount but ours most likely would mount different and we do require professional installation by a custom body shop that deals with aftermarket parts

Yes! Just waiting to get a price on paint, and I will order them.

Just had my car professionally detailed with CQuartz 2 weeks ago. I just talked to my Detailer and he said he would do the side skirts for $20 and a beer.... Paint has to cure for a minimum 30 days......

Will keep you posted.......

Update - Ordered

so you must drill the duraflex ones on? I remember putting the GM ones on my 2010 camaro and I all had to do was remove the regular piece, transfer the clips and the GM one clicked right into place.
