Kinda depends on what they will give you on your Camaro...if the deal is right...do it!

NO, at least not until they figure out how to tune them. You should follow SRT8Tech's lead and get into a GT500.

How about getting a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 or used Trailblazer SS?

Since when is two "a lot"?

This has been what is holding me back to this point. Originally they wouldn't consider my Camaro because it was modified and loss the warranty. Then a week later they called and offered 25k which I refused, yesterday it was a new offer of 26.5k, I responded with I have to get atleast 27k (which is fair considering its a 2010 with no warranty), still waiting on their final offer.

Who knows it may happen today? I will say it has been a very long drawn out process for several weeks. Considering the initial offer was no trade and 49k for the car, to where we are now, it's been worth the wait to ice them a few weeks.

Um, there have been FAR more than 2..... And hey if ONE 12.5 on an SS makes it mid 12 car, then even if there were only 2, why not?

If your wife has a vehicle that comfortably accommodates the entire family, why is it an issue with what you drive?

When the whole famdamily is going somewhere, we take the wife's MKT. Otherwise, I'm in the Shelby giving up nothing. Wife doesn't care one way or the other.

I've got a friend with an SRT8. Beautiful car, but it does drive like a battleship. When the tires are smoking and the car starts to drift, I feel like I'm playing a video game because feedback through the wheel and the seat is nil, it's like driving my boat a bit.

I'm not knocking it, it is what it is, a very nice riding old-schoolish muscle car. But if you like good steering, just stick with your SS.

What year is his SRT? in 11, and even more so for 12 the SChallengers got huge suspension and steering improvements and even a smaller steering wheel to help with feel. 12s took that a step further with a standard 2 or 3 mode (depending on build date) Bilstien electronic suspension similar to what is on the 13 GT500 PP. i can see his point. Taking them on the road in the MKT would be pedestrian, but taking the family on a long cruise or trip together in a true piece of american muscle would be awesome and hopefully help keep the hooby alive by starting them young

To me I would be happy with either keeping my present SS or a new Challenger. To my Wife she would like for the entire family to be able to enjoy the car together. We live in a beautiful ocean front community with endless options for day trips as a family, I'd much rather be driving the Challenger than the mini van. So if I want to keep her happy and still have my muscle car, the Challinger is my only option, the fact that it could be a 392 SRT is a bonus.

Minivan?? Yikes, that's going hard-core, I'd want to avoid that if possible too... The MKT is kinda squirty with its 350hp Ecoboost, and the kids have full media, video games, a refrigerator in the console, etc... Makes for pleasant trips.

Regardless of seating room and comfort, if you stuff your kids back there you're still stuffing them into a dark cave/prison from which they pretty much get to stare at the back of your headrests and see nothing during the trip.

Also, my wife just rolls her eyes at my fun cars anyhow, so I have no "request" to make my car more user-friendly. She avoids riding in my stuff like the plague, regardless of the back seat friendliness!!

But yeah, if you're wife is into the cars, I get it totally. Can you get a clean used AMG CLS63 for $45K-ish??

Back to the other post, it was an '09 SRT8, so you've got valid points. But a big heavy car is always going to feel big and heavy, I still doubt it feels as spry as the SS, and certainly doesn't attack corners like my SVTPP.
