19 Inch Optional Tires

I have a 2010 with the 19 inch optional rims and was thinking of putting 245/40 19 on the rims . It will lower it slightly and the speedometer will be off no doubt but I am wondering how it would look. I have access to TechII and did not know if it was possible to program this tire size in to correct speedometer . Any thoughts ? Thanks All !

If you are going from the stock 245/50 to a 245/40 you're looking at almost 2 inches shorter diameter tire. That's not ideal. As far as how it will look, that's subjective. You're gonna have a big gap with a tire that short. It would look goofy IMO. Maybe others will chime in, but I wouldn't recommend it. Your spedo will be off about 5 mph (high) at 60 mph so you'll register more miles on the odometer than you're actually traveling and you'll take a hit on mpg.

Here it is with 245 40 19 and I think it looks good ! I also have a set of 18 inch LT aluminum rims I am putting 255 55 18 tires on them and will swap the sets every so often.

I went from stock 20” down to 19’s because I went with wider wheels the only tires I could find were close to stock diameter but over all smaller. I did gain about a inch of sidewalk and you can’t even tell they are smaller.
