What A night...engine codes and all those problems.

Well yesterday night i went to my girlfriends house and what ever we are chilling and then we decided to go to a party. We get in the camaro and start her up....started up HORRIBLE low idle sounding horrible. and the DIC shoots a message. ENGINE POWER REDUCED! or something like that. im like WTH?!?!?! so i turn it off and wait like 3 seconds. and restart it.. then it started up normally. but i had a check engine light. so i was like...call onstar ASAP. they pick up and i told them what happen and they run a diagnostic on my car...i waited and they come with..my powertrain or throttle body has a problem. im like great...i decided to keep driving and i do so. nothing happen the whole night from there. just the engine light went away. so whatever. oh i forgot. i got kicked out of second a couple of time. like shifting from 1st to second. and well today i went to the dealer to get it check out...they connect it to see the codes...well come to come...

i have a problem with the throttle body pin or something like that and the ECU thats one of the codes. and the second is something with the fuel pump module the internal reading a malfunction. i have the codes in the car if anyone wants to know them. its like 2606 and 0606 i think. anyone know what could be the problem? i always put 83/93/87 gas. and always go to BP for gas...never let it go under half a tank either so i have no clue what it can be.

does anyone know if i would have to pay for anything? or if its under warrenty? i hope so. pleaseee someone help meee!

because at times i have to change it due to money and such. but most of times i put 83 since its the cheapest and its what my dealer recommended...and depending what im doing. i put 93 when i know im going to be using performance.

Well the manual states 87 for the V6, so I wouldn't be running 83. It's also a waste of money to use 93 when it doesn't need it. Instead of running cheap stuff mixed with expensive stuff, just run the middle(correct) stuff all the time.

Also no you shouldn't have to pay for anything.

83 seriously??? I'm pretty sure that would be your problem, but I've never heard of 83 octane. We don't have that. Lowest we have is 87.

No you'll be fine. You can actually fill it up one last time with 93 to get the overall octane rating in the tank up, then just continue to use 87 from then on.

Damn, where do you get 83? I don't think I've ever seen anything less than 87.

i guess only in miami. we have 83 , 87 and 93 and diesel and 110 racing gas. but thats only in special places oh and e85 lmao.

okay so that cancels out the fuel pump problem. um. so how about the throttle body problem?
