I am somewhat disappointed with the 2014’s

I was so looking forward to a Z28, was all I thought about since the Gen5 was announced. But I just cannot wrap my hands around the new looks. Is it as bad as the pics revealed yesterday, no. In fact better than I thought, but I just feel it’s not as good as it could have been so this leaves me feeling somewhat empty and disappointed. Who knows maybe as these hit the streets I will feel different, only time will tell.

Well I guess in the end the wait/anticipation is over and I can finally move on and begin to mod my 2013 SS and look forward to what the Gen6 brings.

In any case a big thumbs up to GM for bringing the Z28 to the lineup, it will bring much joy to many.

That Z/28 rear is way better than the SS. Blackouts would make it even better. Totally liveable with a car that will rape a ZL1. Lmao

I think it's ugly! They made way too many changes. The tail lights killed it for me.

It's ugly and borderline tacky. Way to keep a simple clean design. If I were car shopping now I would probably pick the Challenger over the Camaro 10 out of 10 times.

Was it really necessary to make your own thread about how you don't like the changes? Didn't want your dissatisfaction to get lost in the big thread with all of the other whiners?

First time I saw the 2010's, I was sort of disappointed, thought they looked "too blocky"...Then I saw one in person, and was pretty impressed. THEN I bought one and it was the prettiest thing I ever laid eyes on!!!

YES, I WILL have a Z/28 in my lifetime!!!

What I like and don't like about the new Camaro

Like:
  • RECARO SEATS!!!!!!!
  • new front grill shape
  • new foglight housing
  • new spoiler
  • New z28 wheels

Dislike:
  • Chrome in the front grille
  • Hate the tailights ugh
  • Hate the rear diffuser even more than the tailights! That thing looks butt ugly and should never have been enlarged to become half of bumper. With GM's fit and finish, it will never look right. It doesn't even look right in the promotional pictures!

Questionable
  • Hood vent: need to see in person

What do you guys think? Agree or disagree and why?

Agree to a point, and like I said when these hit the street my thought may change. I am just not compelled at this point to call or run to my dealer to order (which I was hoping to be).

Z/28 is cool just because of the LS7. The SS styling isn't for me. Will be looking for a 2013.

I'm really not whining, just voicing my disappoinment.

And maybe you're right I did not need to start a new thread, guess I just got overtaken by emotion.

So do you think it will be priced above or below the ZL1? I guess ill hold my judgment til we hear about pricing. But I feel like if you want a racecar then buy a racecar. why bother getting something that's just a compromise. If youre gonna take out the AC, radio, and carpeting you might as well throw in a roll cage and ditch the fogs and all the other seating in the car.

Honestly not sure where pricing will fall in.

I dont know about you guys, but im sure that the front and rear bumpers are interchangeable, so if some one doesn't like this new styling maybe they can retrofit the previous bumpers.
