Help diagnosing possible wheel bearing
Can't pin it down, have a strong suspicion it's passenger rear wheel bearing. Doesn't make noise all the time, rare occasion when its been sitting and you move it first couple seconds it'll pop. Most of the time it only makes noise after it's good and warmed up. Only hear it at low speeds, doesn't matter if going in straight line or turning or whether brakes are applied or not. Emergency brake seems to have no effect on it but does seem to catch and let go then catch hard with evenly applied pressure.
The noise sounds like metal binding up and sometimes just popping. Pretty loud at times and continues until you park it or get over about 20 mph. I have some short video clips but don't know where to host them now that photobucket went stupid. I read about earlier models missing a shim or having to thin of shim but the little info I have found, sounds like a different issue. Plus being a 14, I don't think that tsb applies? Need to get her right as it's currently in the garage until I figure out what needs to be done. And I miss her. Bad weather months are approaching and she needs more road time.

Have you jacked the car up and done basic diagnostics on the wheel bearing? Checked for movement. Listened while turned by hand?

Dealer cant replicate. Im at 51k miles, so it'd have to be under powertrain, which wont cover it if it is wheel bearing. I have jacked it up and checked for play/movement, cant tell that way. Sounds normal turning by hand even after immediately hearing it before jacking it up. I had wondered about possible cv issue also, but have only ever heard clicking with front wheel drive cvs. Not this binding/creaking noise. I plan to really dig into it when I get home from El Paso this weekend. Am kind of enjoying the remote start on the Chrysler with the heat down here. I do miss my beast more than I enjoy the remote start though. I need to get this figured out.
If its the cv, would it still be random on when it does this, do it whether straight line or turning, brakes or coasting with clutch pushed in? Can anybody recommend a good dealer in the Joplin, Mo area? Maybe one that would help get this taken care of instead of turn it away because they didn't find it in 2 seconds.

WINNER! Will try to upload a video to help anyone later on with this problem. Did get it into dealer and diagnosed. Outter joint of CV shaft is causing all the noise. Its been touch and go as to when and how bad it would do it but today it finally got bad enough to make it easier to track down. Parts will be in Friday and its getting taken care of under powertrain warranty. So glad its finally diagnosed and will be taken care of.
