I have been driving in 3rd at 30 mph/50 km/h since the car is new. I bet my gas mileage is hurting a tad because of this but just wondering what gear most people are in.

what they said! probably most likely in 2nd. Sometimes 1st, sometimes 3rd, NEVER 4th unless I am slowing down and haven't taken it out of gear yet.

1st or 2nd. I won't cruise in 3rd until I'm at least at 35mph. Even then it feels like I'm lugging it.
