Josh Allen wins AFC Offensive Player of the Month

Allen's playmaking ability was on full display, leading all AFC quarterbacks in offensive touchdowns (9), passer rating (116.5), passing touchdown-interception ratio (7-0) and total passing touchdowns (7).

Through September, Allen has thrown for 814 yards and ran with the football for 106 yards and two scores on the ground.

I remember when the Bills payed JA17...they rolled out the contract pretty much on the day he became eligible for a raise no muss no fuss

BTW I heard he may be getting a new deal within the next year.

He doesn't even need to ask and they roll out the Brinks truck
I hate to quote myself but JA17 got a new contract...quietly in the off season.

They moved some money around to remain cap compliant but JA17 is being paid 60m per year and that was well before Daks contract

I knew they would look after him with out JA17 having to say a word.

No hoopla no drama just look after the franchise....I love this regime we are so lucky to have them.

NFL HOF and Bills WOF Billy Shaw has passed away.

In a Billieve it or not moment he is the only person in the NFL HOF to have never played in the NFL.

2 time AFL champion and 8 times an All Star and 7 times All AFL Honors in his 9 year career he was also selected to the 60's All Decade Team.

He went on to the WOF i(Ring of Honor)n 1988.

RIP Mr Shaw you were a class act and a true gentleman

Bills vs Texans Sunday at 1pm

The point spread has wiggled a bit but it is back to 1.5.

The Bills are really banged up and even as a die hard Bills fan I think it would be a near miracle to come out of this with a win.

Even so I still say Bills 31 Steers 28

Go Bills

In another head scratching move the Fins have cut QB Tim Boyle.

It could be that they will attempt to put him on the practice squad again.

Just thought I would share this tidbit of info from the game notes of Bills vs Texans:

"Stat to know: If Josh Allen doesn't throw an interception, it will be the longest streak by a Buffalo quarterback to start a season in franchise history."

Thats 65 years of history folks.

Keep Slinging it JA17

Go Bills

Check this one out Iron Lung especially the third paragraph:

This is the best matchup of the week since the Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans are bonafide Super Bowl contenders after the first four games of the year. Josh Allen struggled against Baltimore but should have more success playing in Houston's dome.

The Bills' biggest concern is their defense, which could not get off the field against the Ravens. Will they have an answer for C.J. Stroud? Will Stefon Diggs have a massive revenge game against his former team?

That remains to be seen, but Buffalo has the better quarterback, and Allen will likely use his legs a lot in this contest to help move the chains. Take the Bills to get the road win in Houston and improve to 4-1.

Score Prediction: Bills 28, Texans 24

How they let Allen back in the game after his concussion is pretty wild. Talk about inconsistent. Oof.

In spite of JA17 having one of his worst or maybe THE WORST game of his career the Bills were in a position to win.

The OC and the HC cost them an opportunity at OT with poor play calling.

I think Josh was hurt by the hit in Baltimore more than he was or is letting on and it is effecting his throwing ability.

Congrats to the Texans but they barely pulled that off.

In my first whole game watching Stroud I noticed a few things that will be exploited by better competition going forward.

He stares down receivers not going through progressions on his reads and most of the game plan revolves around check downs so if you have fast physical corners just play press man and disrupt them coming off the line.

It wasn't a concussion it was his ribs which were hurt against the Ravens.

He had several Texans land on him during the game further aggravating it.

He was cleared in the blue tent.
