Shallow staging

Ok, like changeing your rear end gear gives you a mechanical torque boost, but it doesn't add to your dyno torque number.

Even though I have a auto trans, I always liked a manual for fun and performance. I wanted the paddle shifting option so it would kinda have the best of both worlds, minus the ability to smoke off the tires in first and second gear. That and my wife never drove a stick, and I didn't want to teach her in a new 30,000 dollar car. She said if she can't drive it, I can't buy it. Haven't missed a shift yet, or lost from a dig due to blowing off the tires.

That and driving a six speed manual kinda reminded me of 'rowing a boat' with all that clutching and shifting hence the row that boat comment.

I'm a big fan of shallow staging.
