Goodyear eagle supercar 3s
I put MPS4S on the car and definitely prefer the Goodyear's. I have a flat tire and found a set of new 2015 Goodyear's for half off (reputable tire distributor).
I recall reading that the Goodyear's are Camaro 1LE specific which means these are not the same considering they were made before the car was even released, right? Does anyone know the difference between the 2015 and 2018 tires?

The Goodyear F1 SC3 were made specifically for the SS 1LE and ZL1.
The tire did not exist before then. a 2015 tire means it was probably a very early production one, and as such may have lost some of its performance traits, its a gamble.

Tire Rack says they're '15 production but I just got a set, 3 are made in late '16 and one in '17.
They have been kept indoors, in climate controlled warehouses. They are fine, definitely not a safety issue. And as long as nobody is paying you to win races I wouldn't worry about the new ones being better.

There were no Super Car 3's for the Corvette. The Corvette used the G:2's and they maybe even had a G:3, but that is not the same thing as a SuperCar 3.
The OEM tire on the SS 1LE and ZL1 didn't;t exist before then, as it was made for them and was not avail. before. In fact, up until recently, the only sizes avail. were the OEM SS 1LE & Zl1 sizes. Corvette's do not have the same sizes.

I bought a set from Tire Rack. They told me it was for a Corvette, but I stand corrected. What were they for? The Z/28?
I'll check my sidewalls for identification, I thought they were the same. They look identical to my OEM, but they feel like they have a stiffer sidewall. I am taking them to the track tomorrow, so I will see if they feel the same after heating them up. BTW, have one OEM front and one OEM rear tire with half tread depth and 3K total miles and three track days. $100 cash for both, local pick up. |

Yes, there is a DOT mark followed by a series of letters and numbers that provide manufacturing location and tire identification for tracking purposes. The last 4 digits represent the week and year of production, i.e. '2618' would mean the tire was manufactured in the 26th week of 2018.
