How about a scene where a horse is running threw some enviroment being chased by a panther and it is getting very close, then it pounces and before it makes contact camara pans behind a rock and after it passes you see and street or a drag strip and it is a new Camaro SS and as it drives away you just see the mustang symbol spinning on the ground and then lays flat. The the screen goes to the end of the road, the camaro comes strait for the camara, it slides sideways stops and a voice says "It's back!" then Chevrolet and there slogan shows up on screen including info on the camaro.

As cool as all these mustang ones would be i doubt GM would even put mustangs into the comercials but i like the lightning idea, just like that one video but it looks like a big storm over an empty road, lots of lightning and an angled lightning bolt hits the ground with a big flash and the camaro comes from the impact point.

Or i like the ideas where it features all the past camaros but instead of all at once it shows a camaro driving fast down the road then it morphs into the next gen as well as the scene changes to show time changing, at the 4th gen it passes under a tunnel and the 5th gen comes out the other side and an annoucer says "you didn't think we were done?" or "Legends never die!"

I was thinking maybe a zoomed in image of different parts of the car popping up on the screen while a narrator list off all the new tech in the car(DI,VVT,AFM,AirBags,CrashRatings,HP,IRS,HID,Lau nchControl,6Speeds,Brembos,etc) Then you zoom out and the car is screaming down a empty city street and the narrator says something like "this isn't your fathers Camaro", and when the car stops Burt Reynolds(or another "mature" actor) walks up and gets in the driver seet and says "But it could be" and drives off. It sounds kind of corney but I think we should avoid animals or drag racing. Plus this could apeal to many age groups.

Thats not a bad idea but personaly i think some of the other commercials might have more feedback due to the fact that they get your adrenaline going. those commercials always get me more then the slow informative ones.

No offense to anyone, but my thoughts are:

They need to stay away from AC/DC, Dragons, Wizards, etc. If they really want the car to succeed, they need to break away from the first reaction every journalist has had about mullets and such. They also need to stay away from allegories about slaying/torturing/scaring horses. Car people know what this car is, you need to sell this car to people who have never picked up a Road and Track if you want it to make it.

I think of the latest CTS commercials that depict a lady dusting some dudes at a red light while still looking feminine. It definitely didn't fit the Cadillac mold of showing someone pulling up to the country club. This is a good thing.

I'm thinking of something like a 2 part commercial, A) depicts a 35'ish guy dressed for work using blue tooth or something. Maybe an over the shoulder shot on a windy road- the camera pans out and he's on a really windy road and it shows the beautiful car on a beautiful road, as it keeps panning- you can see he's on his way to the city to work (presumably).

Then B) the same guy, his tie and jacket are off. He's grinning and on a windy road- this time he's having fun. Same kind of camera pan but this time he's leaving the city behind.

Basically try to shed some baggage; show the car as being a real but fun daily driver; demonstrate that this is a sophisticated and modern machine. The retro-appeal portion will take care of itself.

AC/DC never had a "mullet" image, and it isn't really about the retro aspect of the Camaro. It's the fact that AC/DC rocks and so does the Camaro.

I don't think I made my point well. When I said mullet, I'm referring to all the magazine articles that referred to Camaro owners and mullets- not specifically AC/DC as being loved by people with mullets. Basically- they need to expand appeal to more demographics if they really want to move these cars. The G8 and CTS are IMHO where GM wants to go- with a crosshair right on BMW, but American Style.

They should do something like.... Show the 1969 camaro in black and white like the old days and some how the 2009 camaro comes in.

Or make a showing of all the generations with each having a little show before they move on to show the next gen like ex: an old indy race with the 1st gen, 2nd gen riding in some abondon roads in a very green area at high speeds, the 3rd gen curving through some mountains at a high speed, 4th gen in the city hualing ass, and the 2009 idk but dong somthing totally ****ing sick, but each showing them selves within its year it was made.

Or considering that dragon thing make somthing like the 1969 camaro is hauling ass and a dragon comes from the back of it catches up flying and fuses with the 69 camaro (while the fusion cuasing a flash of light) and the 2009 camaro is formed

Tell me what u guys thing of all 3

IMO the best way to go is to have a variety of different commercials, depending on what channel it airs on.

They pick up crowbars and begin opening the front of a very lage crate. Rob Zombies Superbeast begins to play in the background. "We have no chioce, we need to bring it back." The front of the crate falls and the headlights flash on. The camaro rolls out slowly. The camaro flashes it lights as if to say thank you. Then speeds out of the wharehouse. The one guy looks at the other and says "Are you sure we did the right thing?" The other replies with a smirk " Oh yeah."
Just what I thought would be cool.

This one is GREAT! It gave me chills just reading it!

Go here and click "Unleash G8"
http://www.gm.ca/gm/english/vehicles/pontiac/

I also like this little intro for the G8, something along these lines for the Camaro, and the above quoted commercial!

Something like... (and i'm stealing ideas here, sorry)

Dawn. Heavy bass ominus music. A helicopter (or multiple) appear from a cloud, carrying a Chevy crate (much like the G8 idea). The helicopter drops the crate into a parking lot of (some large gathering, high school/ football game/race/ whatever) in which the parking lot is covered in knee deep white fog. The engine ignites and idles for a few seconds. GM Special Projects guys drop from the helicopter(s) and code open the crate just as the headlights light up on the Camaro. The GMSP guys nod and the Camaro drives out of the crate and stops just outside of it, before burning out and off into the distance (ie "Ignition" video) with jaws dropped on all the surrounding people.
Cut to high point in the music, black cut scene and slogan, "Heaven just couldn't handle all the noise! The Camaro has returned; (to your local Chevy dealer or not, i don't know)

I think they should have clips of people looking out the windows of houses and businesses with their mouths hanging open, maybe someone whistling. Then they show a really hot woman walking down the sidewalk( Like that is what they were looking at). Then you see her looking over her shoulder as a new 2010 Camaro passes her and she says: "That's the sexiest thing I've ever seen..."

Nice, I think that concept has been used before with other cars but doesn't mean it can't be revised and Camaroized
