Look what I found in Japan!!!

Those who follow me on Instagram might have seen I'm in Japan for a couple of days at the moment on a work business trip. Well today we had an hour to kill after a meeting and so my host took me to Glion Classic Car museum in Osaka. (after we got chatting about Nissan R34 GTRs)

They have about 250 cars on display from 1920's Model T Fords, classic Rolls & Bentleys, a Ferrari Dino, Renault Alpine, 1970s Datsuns and Toyota GTs...right upto modern stuff.

Then I walked into a room with a new Porsche 911, Bright yellow Caymen GT4, two new Corvettes, and lurking at the back was this!

I literally only had under 5 minutes with the car so grabbed a couple more crappy phone pictures and then managed to google it later when I got back to the hotel.

I would have loved to have been able to confirm the VIN for the register but unfortunately I've not been able to.

Here are pro pictures from the website for sale listing.

Aircon car:

I really liked the gold wheels in person. The stripe is carbon effect and is tastefully done. The rest of the car looked bone stock apart from the rather unfortunately "clunky" side indicators that have been fitted for homologation. Apparently it has 818 kilometers (508 miles) from new on the clock.

It had the original Trofeos on, they looked like they'd never even got warm. Interestingly they had no cracking at all, probably because the car museum is temperature/humidity controlled for ideal preservation and the cars are rolled around regularly.

I've attached two images of what was in the screen. It's for sale so I think it's price information - looks like it is up for around the equivalent of $59,000 USD.

I wonder how many more there are in Japan? I reckon at least a few more - they know how to appreciate proper "driver's cars" over there!

For the sake of color variation, too bad it was also SW The gold wheels do look especially good on the SW. Great Find

Fall of 1978 in Yokosuka I saw a Challenger cruising the bar district. Their definitely is a cult fascination with American Iron in Japan.
