Folding Side Mirros Camaro 2010

Hi,

I bought a Chevy Camaro at US and sent it to Chile (my country) but there is a new law started a couple of months ago that requires folding side mirrors, so there are no Camaros in Chile until Jan 11 when the will send here a new version with folding side mirrors, i have been looking and there is no place where i can get a plug and play mirrors for Camaro..

Someone know where i can get something that fits and works? i just need it for an inspection, then i can put again stock ones... i have a huge problem an canīt drive my ride!

This question has been brought up several times without an actual answer. So the only thing I can do for you is to bump your thread. Maybe somebody has some tricks up their sleeve for you .

Surely there is way to rig up some mirrors onto your car so you can pass inspection.

BTW: It's nice to see the camaro making a worldwide appearance. Pretty cool

It shouldn't be to long for the 2011's to get there, maybe you can start ordering a set from you're dealer.

Get them from Japan! They have them now and they fold. They are not very pretty but they do fold and have lights on the side of them.

All the Japan Camaros are still built in Canada, correct? That being the case, we should be able to get the mirrors and such in the US provided you can find a dealer willing to do the research and order the parts. Or are they restricted the Japanese market?

They didn't look so big to me? Little lights and folding is pretty good. Not sure how much more clearance you'll actually have since the back end is pretty wide.

If the car isn't built in it's country of origin with folding mirrors then you should be exempt when importing a car. But then again I guess these countries figure if you've got pockets deep enough to have a car imported then they can squeeze a few more bucks out of you for things like this.
