Full paint detail on 1 year old Camaro....(pics)
Mods: my screw up, please move to cosmetic/detail forum......
If you've read my stuff you know I don't like long details, I'm old and I'd rather be driving or doing something else. But after a year of just rinseless washes, I've got some minor microscratches and bumps so it's time to repolish and reseal. Pics as I get thru each step but here's the tools: .....love the GRIOTS CORDLESS.... it's perfect for minor correction and no cords to set up, dragging across the paint, etc. also quick and painless on your muscles when you're low on the car. No clay needed, car passed the baggie test. (Google the test) The wash stuff - 30 min  The polish stage- 90 min  The poly seal stage - 30min each coat.  More pics in action later today.

  Note: you can really only melt off water soluble polishes like 205, not BF Polish and seal.

Done, two coats crystal seal, about 3.5 hours overall with lotsa breaks, wheel/tire detail later this week.....

Your car always looks great. Did you use the 105 and 205 on every square inch of the car? Seems like that cordless's battery would only last long enough to do a couple panels. And do you chuck those pads afterwards, I can't seem to get my pads clean enough after using 205. Plus I'm worried there would be contaminants left over that I can't see.

Wow I don't know what you're doing… 205 washes out of every pad , it's water-soluble, I never use 105 , never said I did, this is straight 205 and then a sealant. 105 is for a car that's 2-3-4 years old with heavy micro scratches, I rarely use it. My pads are three or four years old still look perfect.
you're are kinda guessing about the cordless? Right? the battery lasts long enough to do one car, yesterday I used several passes that were over and above , so I used the second battery in the last 10% of the car. I've done a complete BMW X5 on one battery |

Yeah I'm guessing about the cordless, I had looked at it before but I thought the 15min runtime wouldnt be long enough to do a whole car. The 15min runtime was gathered from some YouTube review. And the cordless is only one speed?
My bad, I'm mixing up your response on another about the 105. |

My runtime on the cordless is 45 minutes or so ....I don't know where the 15 minutes is coming from… I would'nt recommend it if there was some downside like that to it. The single speed is about mid range of my std orbitals, which is where I live rpm wise anyway.
