Why is a Hot Wheels Camaro calling to me? The 300 cars in my collection? Or just the orange?

It’s the orange. There should always be an orange Camaro.

I hope Reuss enjoyed his opportunity pacing the Indy Cars...I know he's a good driver...but I don't think he'll be welcomed back as a pace car driver any time soon...

Yeah that was a pretty rough hit. It appears he was still turning when he got on it.

Is the 7th gen Camaro going to be a 2021 model year or 2022?

2019s are going into production right about now, so I'd bet against the 2021 models being a new generation. Plus, I think the CT5 is scheduled to be a 2020 model with the CT4 being a 2021. It would make sense for the next Camaro to slot in the following year (assuming its built on the same platform as those cars). That way, the line workers don't have too many new things to deal with at the same time. I think thats how it went with the ATS, CTS, and 6th gen -start them up sequentially rather than at the same time.

Any idea on how the new redesigned SS Camaro is selling?

I don't think they've started building them yet. Normal model year change over is right about this time but I think I saw its a bit later for the 2019 Camaro (like August). Even then, it will still be a couple months before dealer inventories get filled up. So they won't be arriving at lots until September at the earliest. And since GM is doing quarterly sales reporting now, we won't have any idea until the Q4 2018 report is released in early January. But that will still have a mix of old 2018s and new 2019s, at least early on. Q1 2019 should be pretty much 'pure' refresh though.
So, ask again in ~10 months.
