Looks great for more consistent reaction times, but is definitely a full out clutch dump. Cool product!

Load cell

Which shift knob design didn't you like? The original all aluminum one or the newer one with the nylon outer housing? Attached is a picture of the new design with the nylon outer housing in case you haven't seen it.

I also attached an image of another design of load cell we did for applications that want to retain an existing knob - it is an intermediate shaft (threaded on both ends) that goes between the shift lever and the knob. To keep the overall length the same you would have to shorten the lever though.

Another option is to send out your existing shifter and have a load cell put into it. Several companies will do that for you. Just make sure you request the correct specifications for what ever device you plan on connecting the load cell to.

Thanks for info, I'll give him a call about it

I was reading through your build thread - very cool and lots of testosterone in that thread! Good reading

I noticed your using the LPE LNC 2000 with launch RPM and timing retard. So are you triggering it every time the clutch pedal gets depressed - so basically acting as launch RPM and torque cut on shifts until RPM setting is hit? I noticed a backfire on your 2-3 shift best run video..... figured it was the torque cut like I've seen in other videos.

Noticed your going the automatic route with the new setup...

We only used it on launch and not for upper rpm as you can see.... That backfire is the factory rev limiter before we backed it out of the equation..

Jason,

My understanding of the load cell use in the Black LPE drag car was for torque cut so clutchless shifting could be done with the straight cut faceplated gears. It's not really a good option for torque cut for my power level and mods if shifting with the clutch is it? I did see in the LS1 forums where you spoke of using a regular shift knob.... sounded pretty trick.

Jason, I would be more in tune with your mentioned "in line" type load cell. Any pics of this and how much are they?

If so, how well did the torque cut work for improving or making for more repeatable 1/4 mile times. MSD comments welcome too.... mostly looking on feedback about using torque cut, not so much a specific product. LNC-003 is already installed except for my 2 separate trigger wires.

I installed it on my LS3 looking for consistent launches but I can't get the car to hook on the street even with the lowest RPM setting lol

As for the no lift shifting, I'm saving for an upgraded driveline before attempting this as I'm sure it will instantly break something

No track data yet

What street tires are you running? I have heard for launches you don't want to floor it, instead raise rpms until 2-step limiter is hit and drive it off the line gradually raising rpms vs wheel slip (rather than just punching it.... depending on HP/TQ of course).

I have mt et street 305 45 18

I could surely come off the line without flooring it but still be on the 2step but I thought that was defeating the purpose somewhat. I think no lift shifting will be the biggest benefit for me since I usually run from rolls anyway, I just have to update some parts first.
