Windshield Damage

I've noticed something with this car I've never seen before. The windshield damages very easily. I had the windshield replaced a few months ago because it had tiny pits marked all over it. Driving into the sun the damage made it hard to see. When I had it changed I noticed it was changed before. Which I thought was odd. Now only 10k later it looks just as bad driving into the sun, looks like it has 100k miles on it comparing to all the other cars I've owned.Anyone else notice this? I have the heads up display WS and it is a daily driver just like all my cars have always been. I think I read someone else on this site mentioned something along the same lines.

I wonder if the non HUD WS would last longer?

I think it's more the profile of the car. The long nose that is low allows all of the loose road debris to come right into the windshield. My HUD one is the same.

Dam, 10k more it will have to be changed again. I live in the country and roads are dirty, lots of truck traffic too. At 1st I thought I was seeing things. All this newer stuff seems to have odd issues I've never had.

One thing I really noticed was the frt nose collects everything from bugs to leaves paper etc. I can clean it and in a few days its hammered again.

You can get ClearPlex for the windshield which will help mitigate the chipping.

I carry a bottle of RainX Waterless Car Wash & Rain Repellent and some paper towels in my trunk just for this very reason.
