40a in-line fuse for heat exchanger pump melted
Was looking at my pump cause I noticed it was running alittle weaker . Opened the trunk and got to the pump and noticed the fuse holder melted but pump was still pumping but weaker , squeezed the fuse holder and the pump picked up more speed .
My question is , I want to take the best approach in fixing this , and was thinking would I be way off to use a anl type fuse holder instead of a 40a inline fuse ? Just don’t have much faith in those plastic in-line fuse holders . To me it seemed the fuse holder must of not made good contact with the fuse inside causing it to arc , as the wire is fine and I used barrel crimp connections and wired that fuse directly to positive side of battery FYI : this is the fuse holder that came with my reprogrammed Stewart emp pump

Went with a in-line maxi fuse block . Was alittle smaller than the ALN plus they didn’t have a 40amp fuse only a 50. Everything works good so far .. hope this holds up lol
