Mail Slot LED Strips

I am looking for one that has an always on SOLID function. I would like a led bar, that is stationary lighting always on function.. and in a color that would be identical to stock HID's

these are the only 2 bars I've found, and it does not seem they have an always on function or at the very least a color to match HID's

Yes but I would rather buy the actual part, and not home make something myself, although it seems I may have to go that route.

That's all the mail slot scanner is, just a strip of LEDs. You can order in whatever color you like. You just have to apply the tape to the back of it and install. I don't understand the conundrum.

The second one is the direct fit, all you need to cut is a small whole behind it for the wires. The LEDs are nice and it has lots of pattern and color options, but the overall quality is ok at best. The resin on mine started to yellow after just a month or two

Always on? You might want to check to see if that's legal where you live before doing that.

Does the AAC light bar not have an always on function?? Just put it on a switch and turn it off and on at the switch. That way when flipping switch it stays on same pattern

A strip of LEDs is not going to give you the same function as a scanner. There is a lot more to the scanning functions than just using a strip of LEDs. A normal strip doesn't have the capabilities to scan, chase, etc due to the way the chips are built into the strips. Take a look at any scanner and you will see many wires (mine have 11) compared to the typical 4 from a normal RGB strip. Plus you will also need a specific controller to utilize the scanning functions.

Telling the OP to make his own and making it sound like a simple task is just bad advice.

I think if the op is just looking for a Strip to be on all the time without the scanner features then an LED should work. Sounds like he just wants a group of LEDs in the mail slot that consistently stay on. Would work just like fender LED or Under glow. Stick them in and turn off and on.

Note to the OP you will see the LEDS though. A scanner light from AAC will at least have the correct bend and fit the sloted area

Even if always on isnt legal I want to run a switch to it, but when the switch is in the on postion the lifhts are solid non blinking.
