has anyone tried greasing the brakes? My then brand new 08 wrangler squeaked bad....and "clicked". I made some shims and greased the assembly...no more noise.

No, its not something you should have to do, but its better than going to the dealer multiple times and being told anything from "thats normal" to "what noise?" (ANY problem with the jeep was "a jeep thing" at the dealer....even blown ball joints).

I hate it and when I asked at the dealer about it, they just gave that oh so famous line "it's normal"
GM needs to show some respect to the V6 owners

I have the same problem! My Mechanic said that my brake pads were perfect and that it was the rotors were overheated. He adviced me to look into some higher performance rotors

Everyone above that stated they had problems has been added. Thanks for the interest guys!

Hopefully this gets big and someone important in Chevy such as Fbodfather gets to seeing this thread and doing something to help us V6ers out!

Anyone else with a V6 having squeaky brakes??

My dealer said the same thing. HOWEVER, when I asked my dealer, that if the squeaking was normal, then how come it started a year after I got her when I reached around 26,000 miles and not before???

The dealer mumbled some things that I didn't quite catch...
