Custom orders and incentives
Hey all, I want to order a 2020 2SS 1 LE in the next 4-5 months. I was looking at a used 2018 2SS 1LEwith only 1000 miles but with shipping it would cost me 44,500 plus TTL. I was quoted about 48 K if I ordered right now and if I had a mustang in my garage the current incentive price would be around 46K.
For an extra 1500 I could have a 2020 built to my specs exactly. So . . . If I wait for an incentive to pop up in a few months that I qualify for, does it count the day I place the order? What happens if there’s a better one when the car actually arrives? I’ve never ordered a car before. Thanks!

Whatever incentives are available at the time of delivery.
It's a crap shoot. Today can be save $3000, come delivery day.... $500. Or it could be the opposite. Remember incentives are there to move the metal already on the lot, not custom orders. But some dealers will guarantee the incentive when the order is submitted( mine did when I ordered mine). Of course that is up to the dealer. |

Thanks for the reply. I just found the ordering forum and read some good info. Should have looked there first!

You can always negotiate. And when the car finally gets delivered to the dealer you can still negotiate and if something is not right you can still bail out. At least in California.
