From the pics the car appears lowered too. Grille is nice. Stripes not so much. They should have used a preproduction white convert with IOM stripes.
I'm not sure who is designing the pace cars for GM because starting with the 1998 Purple Vette with yellow wheels they have seemed to have lost their classic style. Pace cars since just look odd and have little inspiration to the production cars.

I think it should be Summit White with orange stripes the way they were in the '69 Pace Car.

I can't believe GM continually drops the ball on the heritage grille. WTF? They've had pics of it since the Dale Jr concept at LAST year's SEMA. Back then it had 3 divisions in the turnsignal cover... which looked totally sweet... VERY throwback. I've been wanting that grille since the first pic I saw. Now they finally get around to making it and all the sudden its down to 2 divisions? I'll still buy it because I think it trounces the stock grille, but why did they have to ruin it? It makes it look cheap IMO. I think this one looks so much better:
Oh and for the record... complete fail on the stripes YET again. Not wide enough, not far enough apart, and no secondary pinstripe alongside the main stripes = garbage

Wonder how it would look with black stripes. The stripes look better on the Camaro than they do on the Mustang eventhough they are considered Mustang stripes by most. Favorite orange is Hugger, second is Inferno.

1. THE PACE CAR SHOULD BE A CONVERTIBLE!! 2. THE PACE CAR SHOULD BE WHITE WITH ORANGE STRIPES 3. THE INTERIOR SHOULD HAVE A HOUNDSTOOTH ACCENT OF SOME KIND 4. THE STRIPE ON THE DASH IS AWESOME 5. THE DOOR SHOULD BE LETTERED, NOT A LOGO (BIG FAIL HERE) 6. THE WHEELS SHOULD BE A RALLY KNOCKOFF IN 20' DIAMETER |
