Reliability 6th gen vs 5th- possibly trading up need advice

It's been a while since I've posted on the forums.. I currently own two 2013 1LE cars and love them both but am falling hard for the 2017 1LE. The local dealer has one coming in which I've held.

The initial plan was to trade my black 13' for the sixth gen however I'm having second thoughts. The uncertainty mainly comes from a lot of recent TSBs among other issues owners have been reporting. I have very weary of this. Before my 2013s I preordered a 2010 SS and for the first year and a half it spent most of its life in a shop with issues.

Curious what the reiablity is of a recent build 2017 vs the 2013.

Is it probable that some of the 6th gen issues may have been corrected in a 2017 that is a current build?

What are your experiences with your own 6th gens- especially those who switched from a 5th..

Thank you! All input is appreciated!

Switched 2 weeks ago never had an issue with my 2010 and so far with my2017 no issues. Glad I made the switch the 6th gen's have everything we wished we had in the 5th Gen.

Night and day difference we worth the trade up.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

The only thing that really irritates me is the windshield fogging issue and GM response to it being normal.

I'm one of the new kids on the block with a month old 2SS. Only thing I encountered was a suspension nut that needed to be torqued properly...performed by dealer under warranty.

Otherwise runs smoooooth when in tour mode, the manny tranny goes through the gear effortlessly, and like a bat out of hell in track mode (up to 4000 rpm, of course).

Glad to see reports above from owners with more experience.

Also, Consumer Reports gives the G 6 very good marks & recommends it if you want a sporty set of wheels.

I say go for the '17 1LE!! No issues with mine and it drives so much better than the 2010 SS I had and traded for my '16 SS. Everything is so much better than the Gen5 in every way and I don't think you will go wrong buying it.

Although I cannot attest to reliability as I've only had my '17 SS for a couple of weeks, having just replaced a similarly equipped 2013, I strongly recommend pulling the trigger on the C6. Everything you like about the C5 you'll like that much more in the'17. The possible nit picking exceptions might be backseat legroom, storage space, and the possible lack of a cruise control cancel button. But the drivetrain strength and chassis refinement, not to mention the leaps in creature comforts, will turn your C5 smiles into a constant wide grin.

I traded in my cammed, full exhaust and suspension 12 2SS M6 for a 17 2SS M6 it was worth it. Love this thing. my 12 was at 477rwhp 465rwftlbs and i think the 17 is faster. Suspension feels the same in sport as the 5th gen with full BMR suspension.

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1
