Smile will LS3 heads hold the boost ??

i am in progress building LS3 forged internal with ls3 heads but
i am wondering
-do the ls3 head hold the high boost with the upgrading to LS9 gaskets and 12 points stud ?

-what is the maximum power at rwhp of those heads?

-the boost will be at 18psi .

here is my combo:

-Aluminum 6.2 Liters LS3 376 ci, stock LS3 heads and (GMPP single plane EFI).
-(stock crank 58x) ,Wiscopistons and Oliver rods
(compression is 9:2:0)

-Meziere electric water pump WP319.
-SLP Heavy duty oil pump.
-160 Thermostat.
-SLP Under drive pulley.

-Turbonitics TC78 mm .96 A/R (capable to achieve 1000HP) (soon will be changed to PTE88)
-JGS 50mm Wast gate
-JGS 60mm Blow Off Valve
-AMS 500 Boost controller
-AEM Wide band air/fuel.

-inter cooler:27"x12"x3" ,3" inlet & outlet
-MAFF less.
-Patriot gold valve springs 660" lift
-Custom Turbo cam 223/234 .600/.600 115 LSA cam .-Siemens fuel injectors 60lb
-Dual wallbro 255lb in tank.
-Nasty Custom fuel system for 1000 hp .
-Stage 3 TH400 transmission with Trans brake.
-8.8" ford differential.
-car weight is 2900lbs.

thanks

How did you get the weight to 2900lbs? Is the car completely stripped?

Those heads can be made to hold 18 psi of boost.

Here are some ideas that you may consider:

O-Ring the block (see pic 5 in this post)
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...4&postcount=13

Use "good" head gaskets and aircraft goop. This works well but in this case was used in conjunction with o-ringing the block.

P.S. You meant 3,900 pounds, correct ? Or maybe it is not a 2010, but some earlier/other body style.

I'd like to see the chassis you are working with (i'm going to assume it's a notch/hatch back?). a 2900 lbs is pretty light, considering I'm assuming you have a 10 point chromemoly cage in it, because the setup you are looking at is a very easy 9 second car.

I wouldn't push 16 psi on a stock aluminum block/head with only a 4 bolt head. That's just me.
