Caravan from the south? La, Fla, Tx?

I live in Louisiana and this is my first fest. Looking to get in on a caravan making the trip to C5. Would be great to know any groups I could attempt to meet up with so at least part of the trip can be spent with some fellow members.

Thanks! What time and day are most ppl planning on getting to Indy?

WE are leaving NE Fla early Tues morn and heading to north. Hope to be in Tenn by evening. I think it's !-24 from Chattanooga to Nashville then I-65 into Indy. There are a couple of groups meeting up in Nashville & Bowling Green Ky. We have 2 Camaros and have our own Camarovan... :-)

Wow, so yall are getting there on Wednesday? Seemed like everyone I was talking to was getting their thursday morning at the earliest.

Glad you started this thread. A couple of us from TX are planning to meet in Texarkana AK around 1PM on Tuesday for lunch then on up to Harrah's Casino in Tunica to stay overnight.

Wednesday drive up and meet with other caravans near Bolling Green for the drive into the Wyndaham. Wed night will be a great night in the parking lot as folks arrive.

Thursday is wash your car day and get organized. Fest setup begins for vendors etc and the big social on Thursday night at the hotel.

I'm actually staying in Shreveport on Monday night and will head up to the meeting spot in Texarkana on Tuesday.

This is the exact same thing we did last year.


Meet up spot in Texarkana at 12:30 PM for lunch



...on to Harrah's Casino in Tunica MS




Then on Wednesday up to Indy and meet up w/ Smoke and others in Nashville at noon.

Gotcha, thanks for the info. Wed evening is the earliest I can leave Louisiana, as I work all day. So i probably wouldnt make it to any of the spots you are talking about since I would be getting to Indy thursday around noonish.

Okay mlee, I'm confused. You said going through Bowling Green but the route you drew on your map does not take you that route??????????????? Which way are you going?????

Most people will get there either Wednesday or Thursday EVENING. Most are driving in the morning.
