Twisted seat belts???

First off....I did do a search and didn't find anything on this topic but I can't imagine it hasn't been asked before. Maybe my search skills need to be improved?

How the heck do I keep the seat belt from getting twisted if I use the strap at the top of the seat? It bothers me at times that i can't just get the seat belt to lay flat. Is the only option to not use the seat belt holder on the seats?

The only way I have found is to not use the strap, although I like the strap so I live with the occasional twist

I don't use the strap. I figure the constant movement would mess up the leather, either on the strap or on the seat. I avoid the strap, and have never had an issue with the seat belts getting twisted.

Same for me. I have never used the strap. No problems with twisting either.

I never have issues with the side strap, but my husband does. Maybe it's a height thing. I'm short, so I like using the strap because it keeps it from cutting my neck, but the hubby always complains about the twist. Don't know....the mystery deepens.

Had to turn my car around in the driveway this morning. Got in and buckled the belt (force of habit I guess). Noticed the seat belt was twisted and wouldn't lay flat, figured I'd mess with it later.

I come here and find this thread. Guess it's not just me. :-)

It's hard to explain but i noticed If when I remove the seatbelt and it falls to the outside of the seat it will be twisted when I go to put it on, but if I let it stay against the forward facing part of the backrest letting the seat bolster hold it flat, when I put it on the next time there will be no twist... I just reach across with my right hand and grab the belt from over my left shoulder near the guide strap slide it down to the buckle as I pull it across and snap it in place...

I use almost the same method. It was frustrating until I got the hang of it. The strap actually helps out to give you a good starting point to work down from.

Love the car, hate the seatbelts- cut into the neck and why are they not height adjustable like in other cars?

I have found in many cars the height adjustable ones don't work well, not enough adjustment to do much good....

well at least I'm not the only one that has seatbelt issues. most of the time I'm having too much fun driving the car to notice the seatbelt twisted
