CAI induction filter

I just bought one of their systems and I am hoping someone out there knows where to get a filter cleaning and oiling kit here in Ontario, preferably S. Ont.

John, I bought mine from Canadian Tire. I would think you can get them from most parts places. The one in Shawnessy has them in aisle 8 I believe. With the air filters.

How often do you have to clean it? I visually inspected mine, and it seems fine...

I asked CAI themselves...here`s the Question & Answer: Question: " I have one since Aug 2012 & I never re-oiled it since...I have cleaned it with a air hose & sometimes with a high pressure hose So is it still good or I would need one ASAP."
Answer CAI: The filter comes pre-oiled, I don't see any problem with how you cleaned it. If you want to recharge it we sell recharge kits, they are $14 and include both a cleaning solution, oil solution, and recharge instructions. You don't necessarily have to re-oil it, but a properly oiled filter will have better airflow, especially when it is dirty. Typically a recharge is not needed until after 20-30k miles, but it is dependent on driving conditions.

Thank you RickRay for asking CAI. That was great info. Seeing as I only put about 3500km on it a year and all on paved roads I guess I don't have to worry just yet. I did find out about their recharge kit and the price is good but the shipping comes out to -wait for it-$45! So I was looking for alternatives. I did find a dealer in Gananoque Ont. and will phone them today to check things out. Just got off the phone and no go but they also recommended using a K&N kit. So I will probably do that when needed. Thanks to all for your help.

I also asked Apex; "You could probably use a recharge kit at a minimum but a new filter wouldn't be a bad idea. The filter runs $48.98 and shipping would be $9.69 shipped to the 12919(USA) and $33.24 shipped to Montreal "
Oh well looks like I'll keep washing it for awhile until it rips I don't think I'll oil it...never did / tried before
