A cruise would be cool but NOT on the 465 Loop! Should head S down 31 towards Nashville IN, cut back at Greenwood or something, use to live up there, all kinds of cool backroads!

Yea, the cruise is not good on any major Interstate. I knew it was a bad idea from the start and pulled. I had wondered why we didn't just meet at Lucas Oil and go west from there on US136 and just take all the way out to Park Co.

I've put a bug in some ears to see it there is a possibility to get onto IMS for a couple of Parade Laps. I'm still waiting for a response but we do that 3 times a year, Indy500, again the Camaro/Corvette Rally the night before the race and again for the Brickyard400.

You would think that we could get a little help from "Team Chevrolet" on that one.

A trip around the Brickyard would be icing on the cake. C'mon Chevrolet, get us out there.

Well, I just got off the phone with the GM Chevrolet Rep and he said he would be glad to go to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to seek permission to allow us to drive around the track. He said not only would it be a good think for Camaro5.com but it would also be good for the Chevrolet brand!
This being said, I need Tran or whoever the powers to be to hit me up in a PM so contact info can be exchanged and I can get the details on the date or day we want to do this, time of day like morning or afternoon. The logistics of this need to be worked and and the sooner I get the info I can give it to my guy and he said he will meet with IMS next week. He said he just had a meeting with them this week and the schedule looks good to make this happen and it would be a Chevrolet Performance event to allow this to take place.

All this said, its not a done deal so everyone keep your panties on. Secondly I'm not trying to take away from the Camaro5.com or the moderators in putting together their show. I just feel everyone likes a cruise and everyone wants one but the open Interstate is not the place. Being a state trooper for now for 32yrs, this is a dangerous thing especially here in Marion county.

All in all, this is probably doable. My contact sounded very positive and was glad I called. I think if it weren't well received he would have just said it when I called. He's a straight shooter so there you have it.

I standby patiently waiting for the Head Man In Charge of Camaro5.com and CFest to contact me.

Peace!
