This explains it pretty well.

Is this the case on stock applications as well?

With less fuel demand of a completely stock car it is not a problem it is when we start on the modification path that we have to address the fuel supply.

Ted do we see this issue on a zl1? I know the charging system reduces output depending on battery state and load demand. Someone informed me on his zl1 fuel pressure drop with the same twin dw300 and problem was fpcm over heating from too much current draw and would reduce output to pumps in order to cool itself down. He informed me about a pm3 which is a driver that take the load of the pumps and mimics the pwm from the fpcm so fpcm stays cool, and is able to maintain steady output bc it no longer carries the load, just sends signal. I obtained one and will install over winter. We will so how fuel pressure stays with it installed. He said it solved alot of issues for him. Also is able to run e85 and put down over 800+ to the wheels since adding this. Your my tuner btw Michael Asher.

Yes very common on the ZL-1.

Have not seen the PM3 would like to see more info on it.

This Item allows the use of standard 12 volt pumps to run off of a PWM signal.

So if you wanted to install Walbro pumps in you stock basket and retain the factory fuel pump control module this would allow that.

Basically it takes the PWM signal from the FPCM and converts it back to a 12 volt signal.

The ZL-1 pump should be accompanied by our fuel pump control module so It will hold 400 Kpa fuel pressure.

Please list your car details and mod list so I can better help you with what else you need.

Thank you

Ted.

It is likely the ZL-1 pump and JRE control module will be all you need for now you can add a voltage booster when you add a supercharger.

I have 2 dw300 pumps in ctsv basket. I already purchased this and will wire it up before spring.

Your ss will not hold pressure on a zl1 pump with ss fpcm(fuel pump control module). Need zl1 fpcm
