All good things come to an end. This is no different. Our selfish side says "NO! You can't go yet!" but our head-on-straight side says "You DESERVE it!!! Great job!!! Enjoy your retirement!"

Congrats on your retirement. Always made time to answer all my questions (regardless of how stupid) regarding new Camaros, regardless of the year.

The Camaro aficionados' greatest friend on "the inside" we'll likely ever have. To you, GM, and for your work on the great cars like Camaro- Thank you for all you have done, and will continue to do, for the Camaro community in your "aftermarket" life. Remember, we'll always be part of "da Family".

Never met a more dedicated and passionate GM-blue cheerleader. You rock, Scott!

Scott, congratulations on your retirement. It is really a good time in a person's life. Just ask me since I have been retired for 18 years. I've always enjoyed meeting and seeing you at the Camaro events. Here is a picture of you with my 2010 VR SS in Wilmington, DE.

Congrats on your retirement. It's gotta feel good knowing you gave it all you had. I say that never having met you but recognizing all the good you've brought to the Camaro community throughout the years. Thanks for being an example for all Camaro owners and for putting up with the bad along with the good. God bless you in your retirement Mr. Settlemire.

Congrats, Scott!

I met you in Milwaukee in the winter of 2009/2010 and really enjoyed the get together. To say you have been gracious with your time and understanding of this community and Camaro fans would be an understatement. Thanks for all you did to bring us the best 5th gen imaginable!

Please enjoy your reward that is called retirement to your fullest and I wish you the best in health! I hope the docs are right.

Now who votes for GM to hunt Thor down and return him?

AYE!!!

I’ve given it a lot of thought and am going to listen to seven Doctors who tell me that I need to worry about my health first……..and so it’s time to move on to another part of my life by retiring. (not sure what the effective date is, though…..)

Is making the choice hard to do? You bet. I loved nothing more than getting together with our enthusiasts and supporters and just ‘talking shop’ – but then I guess I can STILL do that – just in a different light, so to speak.

And of course there was (and is) nothing better than working on the Legendary Chevy Camaro as a small part of “Team Camaro.”

Thanks to all of you who welcomed me into your clubs and families and groups over the years and making me feel like one of the family. You’re simply the best people in the world……….and thanks to the members of ‘Team Camaro’ for allowing me to go along for one heck of a thrill-ride………………..
Meanwhile –You can find me hanging out here or on Facebook……..……..

Scott - as others have said, thanks for your years of dedication and input to the Camaro legacy. I know you are proud to have been such a big part of it. As someone who had dedicated 31 years to a profession that I loved and got great rewards from (working for DOD in support of the Army and Marine Corps), I can tell you it is quite a transition to retirement... but well worth the wait. Enjoy retirement but keep yourself busy with other things at a pace you enjoy and in a way that will keep you happy and healthy for years to come.

Thank you Scott for all you have done to help bring back our beloved Camaros and for the Camaro enthusiasts. I loved getting to meet you, spend a little time chatting with you and having you sign my car & your picture in the book. Those signatures are cherished. We will miss having you hang out with us. So when you can, come on out. But first and foremost, listen to your doctors, take care of yourself and spend time with those in your life that matter most. Wishing all the best to you. You will always be our Fbodfather! Enjoy retirement! You deserve it.

Hey Scott, congratulations indeed, GM will be loosing a good one! Nice meeting you a couple times, the latest at the 2013 Corvette & Muscle Car Nationals...

So have you trained your next of kin yet? I mean who is going to be the next lightning rod, err, I mean beacon of Camaro light? LOL!

Your health is always the most important thing! Enjoy your retirement, and hopefully come to some community events going forward!
