100,000

I just hit 100,000 miles yesterday on the way to work. My LFX is still running like a dream and the only things I've done to it are regular AMSOIL oil changes, switched over to AMSOIL trans and diff fluid at 50K miles and serpentine belt/plugs at 90K. I do use Sea Foam through the intake and gas tank twice a year for the intake valve carbon issue - I don't know if it works or not, but when I pulled my plugs, they were perfect.

Here's to another 100K (I hope I didn't jinx myself)

Good to hear!

The carbon buildup thing is way overblown. Clean them like you do and there's no issue as you discovered. But it does sell catch cans.

My 10 years experience with repairing them for GM says otherwise. Either buy a catch can and be done with it, or continue the twice yearly cleaning, it's your choice.

That's a crappy attitude from your dealer. I wouldn't void it for any bolt on.

Nice! That's a real good milestone and signs of a well taken care of LFX.

Chevy can build engines, for sure. I reckon, the way mine feels, this LS3 is going to easily hit 300k as long as I continue to care for it properly. I'm at 154k...

As a Gm tech, what's your experience on the new LGX and the LT1 V8?
