Fuse pull?
I just read about a mod called a fuse pull.....Any elaboration?
"The sound is better, but as for the power, I would say most of the gains came from the CAI and fuse pull." Any info would be great! Thanks

I've done it to mine numerous times and haven't noticed a difference in regards to power. It does seem to run a bit smoother when I first leave the house though in that the herky jerkies it normally has are a little less severe.

do you have to do the pull or will it eventually adjust on its own? on an ls3 you just disconnect the battery? don't the windows need reprograming?

The computer will not adjust by itself, just disconnect the battery and let sit over night. As far as reprograming the windows, yes you will have to but it's in the manual and it takes about 30 seconds to do.

Disconnecting the battery will NOT reset the fuel table to high spark timing. You have to pull the 5 and 20 fuses.
As far as reseting on it's own, yes. It was mainly an early build problem. If you have an early built car, by all means, pull the fuses. Then take it to the dealer and get the updated flash to fix the problem. See the sticky in the technical section. Long read but worth it. All you need to know is the problem has been adressed. As long as you keep high octane gas in your car, you won't have to worry about it anymore. If you do end up with low octane in your car, run some high grade through it and it should reset. I'll pull my fuses anyway to get an instant reset. |

Yes. If you disconect the battery you will need to reprogram the windows. Takes all of about 90 seconds.

I spoke with John Fitspatrick at the fest and verified that it has been taken care of. There should be no further issue with this. Again: If you have an early build and haven't gotten the updated computer flashes from your dealer, take it in and do it. Just tell them you want all current updates. |

I have an early LS3. While, it was always a question as to whther or not this would help, I did the fuse pull anyway. (Especially since my sales guy, put regular gas in before delivery).
I don't do the numbers testing, etc. But it sure seemed to wake my car up.

Mine was not necessarily a night and day difference by the 'Butt Dyno' but the numbers didn't lie. |
