42mm offset
Hi there.
I'm thinking about a staggered set of wheels for my SS. I found a set of 20 x 9 fronts and 20 x 10.5 rears. The offset for the rears is 42 mm. Would that be a problem on a car with the standard 4 piston Brembos? If so, what would my issues be? Thanks, as I'm still trying to learn about wheels, offsets etc.

They will fit. 16mm closer to the shock, poke out 10mm. A 20x11(39mm) sits 22mm closer to shock.
As for clearing the brakes, if it has a big lip or the spokes curve in that is something to watch for. Can you go for a test fit?

Here's an easy to use offset calculator:

Thanks.
The wheel I was looking into was the Vossen CVT. As per Element Wheels, it won't fit; as per 2 local "authorized" Vossen dealers, it will fit. Finally, a Vossen rep told me that the 20 x 10.5 (5 x 120 at 42 mm) WON'T fit, which sux! 22' will fit, but that's too big for my liking.... Not impressed with the conflicting opinions. Thankfully, I didn't lay down any $ yet! Thanks anyhow.

However, I will PM you my email from Vossen. Perhaps you'll know the guy who emailed me.....? Thanks, Paul.

I wasn't going crazy, because A___ from Vossen DID SAY NO. But, they've corrected and retracted that. To anyone looking at the Vossen VFS1 or CVT, they are OK for the 6gen cars!
