Bad news...gas is going to get expensive
OPEC deal to cut production = higher prices at the pump. Lots of other countries following suite...not good.

its going to go up faster than that... anyone who owns a gas station is looking to make profits immediately... gas here in SC went from $1.81 three days ago to $1.99 this morning.

It takes a little while before it catches up, but this has been a long time coming. Gas is definitely going to go up though. The market has already spoken and suppliers will pile on. Hopefully it's not really bad.

I doubt it will last. Gas prices hurt the general economy too much. Once we get the new admin in place? The market will rule...

It will go up a lot in the short-term as speculators get excited and purchase futures, but then it will fall to a more reasonable real market-driven level. But yes, I'd expect gas to range anywhere from $2.50 - $3.50.
I guess this is gloating now, but my daily driver is a Prius. You can pick up a 3 yo used electric car as a DD for $9-13k nowadays too!

^^^ This! Do you guys not remember this??? Luckily I didn't have a V8 that craved premium 3 years ago, but it did peak over $3 right after I got my car. It will ok guys, especially once the new administration takes hold.

I got 30mpg on a 100 mile trip with my 2SS A8 last night. Burned real gas, not the food-mixed gas.
Once new sources of oil are opened up in the US, OPEC will be irrelevant. This is their last gasp. Padre |

Good thing I didn't cut it close enough on budget to worry about gas prices. If you have to worry about gas prices, you shouldn't buy a Car that gets bad gas mileage to begin with. I'm not saying OP did, just that it's a bad idea to purchase a performance car if you ever have to worry about gas prices affecting how you budget.

That's why I am keeping the Camry. This car is not built for long daily commutes.
This bad news was already written on the sticker before you bought the car bud. |

The last thing on my mind was fuel economy or gas prices when I bought my ss. I could care less unless it gets to 5$ a gallon plus lol. My car is my dd and is down getting cammed and supercharged as we speak. If it gets that bad I'll just pick up a 2011 Audi S4 or something.
