2012 Camaro LS Questions

So I was looking for a while and couldn't seem to find the answers I was looking for..

I have a Black 2012 Camaro LS with bumblebee stripes.

Questions:
• I was looking into the RS/SS 20' inch wheels, do you know if they'll fit my car? I been searching for 18' like I have on now (OEM Black LS 2012).. but no luck.
• Wanted to equip a carbon fiber hood that's being sold it was from a 2015 Camaro SS which should fit my car but want to know if I'll need to modify my vehicle in any way?
• Best place to order parts and see if it'll fit my LS also looking to replace few parts like the metal piece that's on my vehicle when you open the door it's not attached to the door but to the vehicle looks like it locks it in place? Need help finding out the perfect part or pointed to the right direction of the name!

Sorry I'm a veteran got back in October and took this car out last month looking to have something fun to do on the weekends! Also any tips or tune ups recommendations of any kind? Hank you!

Any of the factory 20" 5th gen wheels will fit you car with no issues. Keep in mind they are stagggered so there are fronts and rears, rears being wider. The 2015 hood will fit your car but he body lines between the bumper cover and the hood are different and don't line up between your 2012 and the 2015. 2010 to 2013 hoods are the same and 2014 and 2015 are the same.

And last but not least, thank you for your service...

Almost anything made for a Camaro from 2010-2013 body wise should fit without issues. The SS does run a different bottom bumper, so certain things don't fit there.

Anything engine/drivetrain wise from a 2012-2015 v6 should work for your car.

SS/RS rims are nice, but they are staggered. So if you want to keep a square set up to rotate tires easily, you might want to purchase rims.

and that metal part you described is most likely the door sill plate. all kinds in aftermarket world for those as well. not sure if SS sills would fit, but seems silly if it doesn't!

SILLY! LOL

I'm assuming you mean buy 2 different sets for both rear and front to switch out ?

You MAY be ok with that hood. The SS has a wider cowl on the refresh, but the older one is just as wide as my v6. I realized that when installing hex vents.

If you get the rally stripes on a new v6 or old ss, they run down the side of the cowl, where as the new ss cowl is wider than stripes.

Nah, just that if you wanted 20" rims, you should look elsewhere than a stock set up so that you can have a square set up.

But if you are okay having a staggered set up, where the rears are larger than the fronts and you can't rotate like normal, then go for the stock SS/RS rims

A lot of guys run two sets of factory 9X20 rears. Then you can run square and rotate with factory wheels. They are usually pretty cheap to pick up.

Go shopping in the members classified section. You can buy factory 20's dirt cheap. I lot of folks will sell a set (20x8 front and 20x9 rear)....but if you want 29x9 all around (which is what a lot of us have) so you can buy one size tire and rotate, shop around. You will also see improvement in handling with the square set up.
