Nice selection of cars OP! I departed with my '69 Z/28 after 17 years. The car was mechanically restored and I had just wet sanded the original paint. Those cars are no joke to restore, takes money and time. I only drove the car around 400 miles a year. The guy that I sold it to has been restoring it for another 2 years. So, I ordered my DD and now have a car that is way more fun. Got a/c, modern suspension, HUD, can go on trips, Recaro's, sunroof, etc. No regrets!

I've owned the following,

99 Huger orange Camaro V6
10 1LT Camaro
15 LTZ Silverado
11 2SS M6

I'm absolutely in love with my SS and regret getting the truck. It was a really nice truck and loved having it but I just missed having a Camaro to much.

I've owned four, still have two. My first car was a 1974 Camaro Type LT. I bought it in the early 80s. It was a 350 2bbl with a 4 speed. I put in a cam, 4bbl & intake headers and a posi rear. I later bought a 1979 Z/28 4 spd. I swapped in an LT1, solid lifter GM crate engine. That car was a blast to drive. I sold that and built a Pro Street 57 Chevy. I had that for about 10 years then sold it an bought a 1969 Camaro convertible 327 4 spd. That was given the full Pro Street treatment. I still have it Then I bought my 2012 SS. I don't have many pictures of the 74 or 79 but lot's of the 69 and the 2012.

Here's what the 69 looked like when I bought it in 1998...

And what it looks like now..

Like the original OP, my dad owned a Camaro back when my sis and I were babies. Had to sell it to buy the "family car" and I never let him forget it. When I had to trade my 95 Chevy Blazer LT in for my wife (now ex) to get a minivan, the deal was I would be able to buy a car that I wanted when we were able. I fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning my own Camaro, bought a 2000 V6 with t-tops. It had to be an auto as the ex couldn't drive a manual. Drove that car for the last 15 years, it has 135K miles on it now and is still chugging! I promised my kids when they were little that I wouldn't do like my father did and get rid of it, instead they would drive it someday. That also came true, both kids drove my Camaro for their very first driving lesson, and my son drives it as a DD now. I recently added a second Camaro to the stable, buying a '15 2SS, also black, with the manual this time. Love it. Plan on keeping the '00, and would love to eventually own a sample of each Gen.

Here's the two of the Camaros together:

I drive a 2010 2 SS/RS currently. Before that I had my 2001 SLP SS that I miss every day and before that I drove an extremely low mileage 86 Recaro Trans am. I still have the Recaro, its been in my garage for the past 9 years and I just recently purchased a new motor for it.
