How Much will The ZL1 Cost?
Anybody got any idea before I put down 40k on a car I don't know the price on?
Dealer says I need 40k down to get one of only 70 to be produced in 2012. |

My dealer rep told me he was under the impression it would be in the 60's range. If you can place an order I would do so, you can always get your deposit back.

Canadian pricing is ESTIMATED on a fully loaded car $55-60k on the lot. The dealer wants $40k down? That doesn't seem to pass a smell test to me and only 70 made in a model year? Even more suspicious.

Pricing to be release mid November, until then all is speculation.

The GM Built and sold ZL1s will have around 3000 units produced (at least that seems to be the consistent rumor here on C5). Just a point of information.

and/or a liar. There are 69 converted Camaro SS being sold through SLP and they acquired the rights to call them ZL1. Those have little in common with the Camaro ZL1 straight from GM, of which there will be thousands. By our collective guesses here on C5 the GM produced ZL1s will cost between 48 and 60 thousand dollars before options, taxes, etc. Most are guessing 52-57k. That is all. .

Your Dealer is an Idiot/Liar
Seriously? You guys don't know the Difference between the SLP ZL1 and the real ZL1 or whats the deal here? Edit: Just realized I wasn't the first person to say this here, but maybe just MAYBE if Shockandawe and OldSchoolCamaro hear it enough times MAYBE it just might sink in? |

I don't know but there is a dealership here who wants 5 grand (non refundable) and 5 grand over MSRP! Now why the Hell would anyone want to do that if pricing isn't even available yet?! Just so happens that another dealer will take 1 grand down (refundable) and will sell at MSRP. Weird how these things work huh? And this is for a regular Z, not an SLP or any special model.

Don't get sticker shock when it's announced. Mac already said it. This is a world class performer. In summary, should we complain if we can't afford it? Just because it's a Chevy<and a Camaro> should it not be sold price wise according to it's performance prowess?
