JRE TUNED KB RESULTS

I had the opportunity to custom tune a 10 Camaro LS3 with headers.

Equipped with a 3.75 pulley.

I will finish fine tuning on Monday but thought I would post up the numbers.

591 RWHP 554 RWTQ.

AS RECEIVED VS MY TUNE

This is a Comparison of how it came to me and after my tuning.

I found 100 ft lbs from 3000-3800 RPM, I thought it felt pretty soft when I road tested it before the tune.

It was also very rich and went in to limp mode on the dyno with the as received tune, that is why it ended at 5900 RPM.

Nice job TED...Your shop seems to be very proffesional...The
job you did for a Montreal friend of ours was outstanding...
Not exactly sure what i'm gonna do next spring S/C or headers
exhaust and tune but your shop is on my very short list...I
really like the Vortech set up on a L99 engine...When you open
the hood it's in your face...Anyway good job again Ted...

Thanks to the Jannetty team...

Hey Ted, nice work! Talk to you soon....

For sake of those reading this post:

I had my KB installed by a big name shop in NY. At the time I picked up car, it had driveability issues... ran rough/surged, and stalled on warm restart. Shop owner told me he'd get me back to shop soon to resolve issue. 2 months later, after many unanswered calls and e-mails, I decided to take car to Ted's. After looking at the dyno comparisons, it was obvious that the other shop did not spend much time tuning the car. I feel that the car is in good hands now and I look forward to picking it up soon (hopefully Ted can tweak the A/F and limiter a tad to reach the 600 mark, LOL).

ted all he has is headers and a kb s/c right, no cai or other performance parts right? i must say those are very nice numbers for the mods he has. how much more power could he get with a good cam and a set of heads?

The KB comes with it's own HUGE air intake pipe and filter which really helps the Power numbers but makes it harder to tune.

The cars typically Idle at about 2300 Hz Maf signal, this one Idles at 1300 Hz Maf signal, and Normal WOT signal is around 12,500 Hz and this one is only seeing 9500 Hz which cuts resolution by quite a bit, so I have to work harder and more meticulus to get the good driveability that we all want.

I am very Pleased with the results thus far but I want to take out the 2.00 Plugs, and 160 stat the other shop installed and install the Stock 12.00 Plugs and stock stat, and this car will run better than factory with all the Power.

With My Blower Cam and a smaller pulley I would expect High 600s to 700 RWHP

Ted.

Nice job as usual. You're boringly good. Not much drama....just good results. What were the IAT's like during these runs? Also, to what do you attribute the rise in boost after 5500 rpm?

The Blower is Out Flowing the Engine.

Remember, Boost is a Product of RESTRICTION, the Engine is the Restrictor.

A Cam will Correct this.
