Pandora APP On The Touch Screen

Have a 2016 Camaro. For some reason the Pandora APP on the Touch Screen won't connect to Bluetooth anymore even though when I turn my phone on it says the car is connected to the phone and Bluetooth. When I try to open the Pandora APP on the Touch Screen I get an error message that says cannot connect. The App was working up until a week ago.

Try removing the phone and re-adding it.

Tried that already. Unpaired the phone and paired it again. The Touch Screen App still won't connect to Bluetooth.

Do other things work via Bluetooth like playing music from your phone?

I thought in order for the App to work you had to be connected via the USB cable connected to Android Auto? I thought if you were just connected to the HU via Bluetooth you just get the basis Music Screen showing song playing, etc... I guess I've never actually tried to use the actual App when connected via BlueTooth. Only when connected via Android Auto. I'll have to try this when I get my car out of storage.

I dont think the embedded apps on the radio work that way. I think they require an internet connection either through a built in hotspot or from a hotspot.

If you plug up the USB cable and use Android Auto (if you have it) you can use the phone app through android Auto, but just remember they arent the same app and dont work with each other over bluetooth.

Note: I do know you can stream from your phone to your car with the USB cable. But you aren't using your car's built-in apps as an interface you are using your phone. Which for example Iheart radio I believe does put a button on your screen. But not all software can do this.

To Clarify: Download the app on your phone. Make sure USB is plugged in. Play app music (in my case iheart radio) then if you look at the Android Auto screen you should see a button for Iheart Radio at the bottom which allows you to control the app on your car's touch screen.

Yes... Agreed... That is how I believe it works as well. The Apps on the HU do not work by just connecting your phone via bluetooth.
