Reprogram Low Tire Pressure Limit?
I have a 2011 SS with ZL1/1LE wheels and tires. On the street I run them at 32 psi which is what's recommended on a 1LE. My TPMS runs about 2 psi low so between that and 32 psi I get low pressure alerts until the tires warm up. On cooler days I may never get the pressures up.
Can the low pressure limit be reprogrammed for the lower tire pressures? Is this a BCM function?

I don't think it's programmable, except perhaps by GM, itself? I'd love to learn, too. Hoosier R7s exceed 50 PSI, which might cause issues.
By the way, just in case you didn't know about this, I think your TPMS is measuring it right, if only you were at sea level. The sensors we have measure absolute pressure, while we get absolute - atmospheric pressure reported on TPMS screen. If you live in high altitude, your ambient pressure will drop, and your handheld pressure gauge will report higher numbers than TPMS, since it measures relative pressure, not absolute.

I'm surprised you are getting an alert. My cold pressures are 28.
I'm also having a slow leak in the RR. When I first caught it, I didn't get an alert until it was down to 24 I believe. I don't see how you are getting alerts, or why an '11 and '13 would be that different. In other words, it sounds like a system fault, not a programming issue (unless it's programmed completely wrong). |

After driving approximately 15 minutes any tire that hasn't reached 31 psi as per the TMPS I get the low tire warning. perhaps the dealer can lower it.
Ask them if they can call for a calibration from the 1le... |

I would talk to them anyway. I don't see why you would get an alert for 31psi.
My tires yesterday were 28/28 fr and 28/26 rr No alerts. I would expect programming to be the same across all models. The recommended pressure is the same. |

Yes you can program the TPMS PSI threshold or the dealer could do it for you if they wanted to. You need a VXDiag VCX Nano as a pass-through device so your laptop software can communicate with the car. You then use Tech2Win (2013 and older) or GDS2 (2014 and newer) software to program the front/rear pressures. You have to enter it as KPA instead of PSI. The software asks you what is the door placard so you would enter the KPA equivalent of what you want to run. Federal regulations require the low tire warning to come on when the pressure is 75% of what the vehicle is programmed for (which is the door placard if not changed).
